Accept Tips Via Text Messaging
I just found out about tip5.org. This is a website where people can text your “short ID” (that you choose – I chose “podcast”) to their phone number (1-202-800-1100). You sign up for free, enter your paypal email. Then when the caller tips you $5 via paypal, they transfer the money from the texter’s paypal to your paypal while they take 10%. They pay you once a month, and you can track your tips online on their website.
The breakdown would be
Original tip: $5
tip5.org percentage : .50
Paypal: .46
Your take home: $4.04
As more and more people are listening to podcast on their smart phones, this could end up being a cool way to solicit donations. My only problem was there wasn’t a ton of information in regards to who is behind tip5.org. They have a fair amount of info on their policies, and privacy, etc.

My question is this: “How easy is it to login to your Paypal account on your phone?” That might be a hurdle. It should be interested to see.
